ServicesIn accordance with Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Rules (41.05.02.C1, Management of Buildings, Grounds and Other Improvements) the Department of Physical Plant receives a budget allocation to operate and maintain state facilities that are directly related to the teaching, research, and extension missions of TAMU-CC. All general academic university buildings are funded in this manner. Similar services for University-auxiliary enterprises, and other non-general fund supported activities are provided on a reimbursable basis. The Physical Plant's goal is to provide services to University buildings in a consistent, timely and cost effective fashion. The department's first priority is to respond to fire and life-safety emergency situations, complete regularly scheduled maintenance and repair items, and then to provide special or non-funded services. The Physical Plant comprises over 100 employees in the areas of Business Office, Design & Construction Services, Custodial Services, Grounds Maintenance, Heating Ventilation & Air-Conditioning Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance, and Recycling/Solid Waste Services. |
